How to Make Diet Shakes

Most people these days are looking to be healthier and get to their ideal weight. We all spend lots of money on the latest gizmo’s and meal replacements thinking they will help us achieve this, but you can save yourself a lot of money (and have a healthier meal replacement) just by learning how to make diet shakes yourself. When you make your “lose weight shakes” you have complete control of the total calories, fat, protein and sugar content. You also get to be creative about the flavors you can enjoy, what could be better!
Don’t worry, making your own weight loss shakes is a piece of cake (oops!). All you need is a blender or food processor . If you don’t already have one I would suggest getting a good one that will last. Now just go to your local market and get yourself some fresh fruits and veggies and you’re ready to go. Fruits like strawberries, bananas and melon work great. If you want to use seed fruits like pears and apples (oh yeah!) just remember to peel (optional) and core them before you add them in. Vegetables that don’t have a real strong flavor like cauliflower or that tend to be naturally sweet such as carrots seem to work best.
You’ll want to wash everything first then give them all a rough slice. Add them into your blender with some some ice and either no sugar added juice, such as apple juice, or skim milk and let’er rip. I myself prefer skim milk that way I don’t have to add protein powder which can contain a lot of calories. You could also add some fiber which can be very helpful in losing weight.
I could give you recipes for diet shakes but it’s better (and more fun) to experiment with different fruit and vegetable combinations to come up with your favorite flavors. That’s all you need to know about “how to make diet shakes for yourself”. These “lose weight shakes” are a delicious and healthy way to speed you on your way toward your goal of your best weight.
